Please take care of these important points:

When calculating Q(pop):
1) divide by 1000 to convert liter to m3
2) divide by (24*60*60) to convert from day to sec

When filling the final table:
1) Make the "Area" cumulative (sum all areas draining to the pipe)

2) Make the "Qpop" also cumulative (sum all Qpop draining to the pipe)

3) Notice:
Qrain = C I A
Q: cfs
I: in/hr
A: acre

4) When calculating Qrain:
divide by (2.54) to convert "I" from cm/hr to inch/hr
multiply by (4200) to convert "A" from feddan to m2
divide by (4047) to convert "A" from m2 to acre
divide by (3.28^3) to convert "Q" from cfs to m3/s

Please notice that Q(total) here, which is used in design, was calculated by summation of Q(rain) and Q(pop).
That was the solution of this problem in that exam.

"According to Yehia" ,,, the Q(pop) should be taken as "Q(av)" and then calculate Q(summer) and Q(winter).

Here Q(rain) will be added to Q(winter) only.
Then we will design on the maximum Q between Q(winter) and Q(summer)

but of course that was out of scope of the mid-term exam.

I think enn l target bta3 Dr.Aly makansh ennena net3allem how to design a sewer but it was how to use the spreadsheet technique as an aid in our design procedures

but the question is........

In the final exam wat should we do, design by the exact method or by the excel method?

I think that we have to satisfy every Doctor ya3ny fy so2al dr.aly (excel) nesta5dem tare2toh, w fy so2al dr.ye7ya nesta5dem tare2toh

You are absolutely right ya Bassem.
Dr Ali just wanted to apply the spreadsheet technique.

Also the problems of Dr Ali, inshaa Allah won't be confusing.
As he brings the spreadsheet already with missing cells. So he will direct us to the sequence of solving.

If he put an open ended problems,, then we the right to solve it with the design method.
By the way, it's not really "Yehia's Method"
This is a standard design method.
