This is a summary of the design steps explained by Dr Yehia in the 4th lecture.

By the way,, in the third question in our midterm exam,, when you get Qtotal, consider it Qdesign,, then follow the above steps.
The only difference, is that instead of assuming (D), you will assume (Vdesign) and then get (D) from A= Q/V
From this D, get the corrected D from the available diameters and go to step 5 above and continue steps.

excuse me Ahmed i have a comment about the design steps
we will assuming "a reasonable" diameter and get Qf and we have to try more than one Diameter to reach the targeted ratio Q/Qf and that ration should satisfy that condition (y/d=2/3 for d<700mm & y/d=1/2 for d>700mm)
so....
y don't we "Begin with end in mind".....
assume y/d (2/3 or 1/2) and using curves u can get Q/Qf and......
by knowing Q (the max of Qdwf & Qwwf) we can get Qf so we have only one unknown which will be the diameter ======= get it exactly without more trials (no need to say that it should be rounded to the nearest commercial one)

As I said, that was a summary of what dr Yehia explained, not my solution
Anyway, don't forget to round the calculated D and also check the rounded diameter.

ثم انه قال ان فيه طرق كتير للحل ولكن احنا هنحلup to yahia
يعني اعتقد اننا لازم نلتزم بالخطوات اللي هو اداها بس ممكن نبقى نعمل زي منتا بتقول كده في الاول.. على جنب كده
وبعدين نبقى نستخدم الديامتر اللي احنا جبناه من طريقتك وكاننا فرضناه كده
ونكمل الحل عادي
